General Appearance Settings

Let's customize your cart drawer to look and feel like your store. This takes about 5 minutes.

Step 1: Match Your Brand Colors

In the Cart Editor → General tab, scroll to Button styles:

Button Fill Color

  • Click the color box and enter your brand's primary color
  • This is typically your main button color from your website
  • Example: If your "Add to Cart" buttons are blue, use that same blue here

Button Hover Color

  • Use a slightly darker or lighter shade of your button color
  • This shows when customers hover over the checkout button

Button Text Color

  • Use white (#FFFFFF ) for dark buttons
  • Use dark (#000000 ) for light-colored buttons
  • Make sure text is easy to read against your button color

Color Scheme

  • Choose Light if your store has a bright, clean design
  • Choose Dark if your store uses darker colors and themes

Step 2: Match Your Fonts

In Font styles:

Turn on "Inherit fonts from theme"

  • This automatically uses your Shopify theme's fonts
  • Your cart will match the rest of your store perfectly
  • Most merchants should enable this

Adjust Scale (if needed)

  • Leave at 1.0 for standard sizing
  • Increase to 1.1-1.25 if your store uses larger text
  • Decrease to 0.85-0.95 if your store uses smaller, compact text

Step 3: Choose Your Cart Layout

Position

  • Right - Most common, slides in from right side
  • Left - Use if your store has navigation on the right

Rounded Corners

  • Enable if your store uses rounded buttons and soft edges
  • Disable for sharp, modern edges

Step 4: Preview Your Changes

Look at the preview on the right side of your screen:

  • Does the cart match your store's style?
  • Are the colors consistent with your brand?
  • Is text easy to read?

Adjust any settings until it looks right.

Step 5: Turn On Your Cart

Once you're happy with the appearance:

  1. Toggle Slide cart status to On at the top
  2. Visit your store to see it live
  3. Add a product to cart to test the experience

Quick Brand Matching Tips

Don't have your brand colors handy?

  • Open your website in another tab
  • Right-click on your main button → Inspect
  • Find the color code in the styles panel
  • Copy it into Slide Cart settings

Matching your store's vibe:

  • Minimalist stores: Use light scheme, no rounded corners, simple fonts
  • Playful brands: Use bright colors, rounded corners, larger scale
  • Luxury stores: Use dark scheme, elegant fonts, subtle colors
  • Modern stores: Use bold colors, clean fonts, standard scale

Our cart tries to use fonts from your theme. If it does not happen on your store, you can reach out to us via support to help implement this manually on code as well.

Optional: Additional Customization

After matching your brand basics, you can explore:

  • Cart Features tab - Add progress bars, announcements, upsells
  • Behavior tab - Control when cart opens and where it sends customers
  • Custom HTML/CSS - Advanced styling for specific needs
